Arts & Entertainment Quay Brothers: On Deciphering the Pharmacist's Prescription for Lip-Reading Puppets
(MoMA, 11 West 53 St, New York, NY, 10019)(Sa - Th 10:30am - 5:30pm, Fr til 8pm)
MoMA presents this retrospective of works by Stephen and Timothy Quay, identical twin brothers whose work in stop-motion animation and live-action filmmaking have endeared them to generations of slightly twisted artists. Among the siblings’ films are In Absentia and Institute Benjamenta; music fans might recognize their more commercial work in videos for His Name Is Alive and Michael Penn. This exhibition, On Deciphering the Pharmacist's Prescription for Lip-Reading Puppets, includes film screenings, works on paper, installations and more. For more information, ($25 non members)
