ABT brings together a murderer's row (dancers Diana Vishneva, Polina Semionova, David Hallberg and Ivan Vasiliev, for a start) and then lets them loose on the classics. To wit, this spring, Swan Lake, Coppélia, Giselle and the company's premiere of Frederick Ashton's Cinderella. And ABT celebrates Shakespeare's 450th birthday with revivals of Ashton's The Dream, a droll and delightfully delirious midsummer night's romp, and Alexei Ratmansky's The Tempest, which debuted this fall and is set to a score Jean Sibelius wrote for a production of the play.
