Women's CoffeeHouse presents Tempus Fugit: A Women's History Event

(LGBT Community Center, 208 West 13th St, New York, NY 10011) (5pm) The program will focus on the "then", meaning the 50's through the 90's and the "now" in terms of being a lesbian in NYC. Cheryl Adams moved to Manhattan from Ilinois in 1976 and became very active in the lesbian, gay and women's movements in several organizations and committees, holding the positions of Lesbian Rights Coordinator of the New York City Chapter of the National Organization for Women (NOW), spokesperson for the Coalition for Lesbian and Gay Rights, spokeswoman for Lesbian Feminist Liberation, and president of the board of the Women's Liberation Center in NYC. When some of the Deirdre's computer programs become worth millions, she balks at selling out to big software corporations, wanting just enough money to live happily with her significant other. As for Victoria, when she's not managing the company's finances, she enjoys writing lesbian science fiction and listening to the Ramones.
