(LGBT Community Center, 208 West 13th St, New York, NY 10011) (6:30pm) Tonight’s documentary, Taboo…Yardies, is intended to shed some light on one of the many stereotypes that plague Jamaican culture; that most Jamaicans are violent towards gays and lesbians. The filmmaker, Selena Blake says, “The Jamaica I know is one that is characterized more by tolerance, if not open acceptance.
