(LGBT Community Center, 208 West 13th St, New York, NY 10011) (6pm) Kalup Linzy, is a video and performance artist who presents himself with a fabulous mix of southern culture, daytime soap opera, and shady black gay culture. In 2007, Linzy was named a Guggenheim Fellow and, that same year, New York Magazine named him one of the ten most promising artists. He has been reviewed in The New York Times, Art in America, and Artforum. His work is included in public collections of the Museum of Modern Art, Studio Museum in Harlem, and Whitney Museum of American Art. ($10) Event Website
