POSTCARDS FROM AMERICA
(IFC, 323 Sixth Ave at West 3rd St, New York, NY 10003) (8pm) It’s hard to believe that Steve McLean’s landmark of queer cinema was finished only two years after the death of its subject, artist and provocateur David Wojnarowicz. A wild, sad, passionate kaleidoscopic ride through New York gay life, the film highlights the intensely personal nature of Wojnarowicz work, from his Jersey roots, to his years hustling on and off the West Village piers. End of The Rainbow

Call for entries - UNCENSORED: Queer Art and the Church
(Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art, 26 Wooster St, New York, NY 10013) CALL FOR ENTRIES. ALL ENTRIES WILL BE SHOWN. The exhibition Uncensored: Queer Art and the Church is an activist riposte to the shameful history of censorship against LGBTQ art and artists by both the Catholic Church and Fundamentalist Protestant Churches. The Leslie-Lohman Museum of Gay and Lesbian Art firmly believes that all art should be seen and displayed without regard to content; therefore submissions will NOT be curated, edited, interpreted or censored. Artists may only submit work online at uncensoredexhibition.org/submit. Deadline is March 20, 2012 at midnight. Women Center Stage Festival

Look Back in Anger
